Take in the beauty of this historic homestead, home to a working farm and live music concerts. Michael Shaughnessy stewards this homestead and hosts a robust season of top notch musicians. He generously sets the scene below…

Sorcha Cribben-Merrill will be joined by Connor Garvey for this very special concert. (Due to an unexpected engagement Emilia Dahlin will not be performing.)  Sorcha and Connor are two of the best of Maine’s singer songwriters.

Sorcha’s music is poignant, timely and uplifting. She is a multi-instrumentalist that can weave sound and story in a way few other artists can. With a broad stylistic range her work is soothing and stirring but also haunting. Beyond the expected bounds of concerts she has worked with the Lullaby Project, the Center for Grieving Children and performed in many Memory Care facilities. She is known for her ballads and bluesy vocals. As a solo act or in collaborations she is not to be missed.

Connor has received many awards including New Folk Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Singer Songwriter Showcase winner. And most wanted Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. His work is moving and touches on the common experiences shared by all. He is an artist that is not afraid to tackle heavy subjects but he does so with a keen insight and understanding.

The Saccarappa Summer Concerts are held at the Conant Homestead (89 Conant Street, Westbrook, ME). The music will start at 7:00 Farm opens at 6:00. Arrive early and secure a space. visit the farm, walk the trails, and enjoy the cool waters of the Presumpscot River. We are a short walk from Downtown Westbrook with its many fine food offerings. All concerts have a suggested donation of 10 - 15.00, BYO food, drink, and seats.

“It’s a four generation household and a burgeoning permaculture farm,” Shaughnessy said. “It’s beautiful here, and we are melding events with the farm activities, the trails and the river right by us. … It’s a way to share the space and promote great, local musicians.” - courtesy Portland Press Herald
